10-15-688 Ametex Dial Around Service

 

General


10-15-688 Ametex dial-around service is a communications service provided by Americatel that allows customers to place long distance calls from their home telephone number or business number to international and domestic destinations, as more fully described below.

10-15-688 Ametex is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from residential and non-PBX -based (i.e., direct line) small business telephones located within the Continental United States.  The service is not available for calls placed from hotels, prisons, cellular phones, large businesses and pay phones

 


10-15-688 Ametex customers will be charged a fixed price for the first ten minutes of a call, and will be charged a specific per-minute rate for each additional minute of calling time beyond the first ten minutes, depending on the destination of the call.There is no connection fee for the service.  Calls to certain mobile destinations may be billed at higher rates than calls to corresponding non-mobile destinations, as specified in the rate chart below.


Charges will be billed to the customer each month by Billing Concepts, Inc (“USBI”), and will appear on the customer’s regular monthly telephone bill that is sent from the customer’s Local Exchange Carrier (“LEC”).  10-15-688 Ametex service will only be available to those customers that can be billed through their LEC. Calls to the 10-15-688 Ametex service from customers who cannot be billed through their LEC  will be blocked. The first ten minutes of a 10-15-688 call will be charged at a flat rate for the entire ten-minute period.  This means the customer will pay for a full ten minute time interval regardless of whether the call lasts one minute or a full ten minutes.  Chargeable time begins when the called party answers the call and two-way communication is established.  Chargeable time ends when the calling or called station hangs up or otherwise terminates the call.  Call rates for the first ten minutes are determined by the terminating location of the call.


For all calls of more than ten minutes, the rate per additional minute will be determined by the terminating destination of the call, as specified in the rate chart below.


Americatel reserves the right to suspend any or all Americatel services for non-payment of 10-15-688 Ametex bills.

 

Call Rounding

 

Customers will not be charged for calls lasting 6 seconds or less.  Calls of any duration between six seconds and ten minutes (after two-way communication has been established) will be billed for ten minutes.  Calls of more than ten minutes will be billed in two-minute increments.  Fractional increments will be rounded to the next full increment. 


Examples:


A call lasting 45 seconds will be billed for a full ten-minute initial charge for the specified destination.


A call lasting 8 minutes, 45 seconds will be billed for a full ten-minute initial charge for the specified destination.


A call lasting 11 minutes will be billed for the full ten-minute charge for the specified destination plus two minutes at the per-minute rate to that destination.


A call lasting 45 minutes will be billed for the full ten-minute charge for the specified destination, plus 36 minutes at the per-minute rate to that destination.

 

Credit Allowances for Interruptions


Credit will be allowed for calls that are interrupted due to cut off, poor transmission or one way transmission.  Ametex will not grant credit for calls to wrong numbers.  A customer may receive credit for the full amount of the ten minute increment charged for a call of less than ten minutes’ duration, but no credit will be issued for calls exceeding ten minutes.  Only one issuance of credit per phone number per month will be allowed.

To receive proper credit, the customer must immediately notify the company about the trouble experienced (e.g. cut off, noisy circuit, etc.), and the approximate time the call was made.  The Customer Service Representative will validate the complaint by reviewing the customer’s call history.  The customer may contact Ametex or its authorized billing agent at Ametex’s designated Customer Service Number, which will appear on the customer’s monthly telephone bill.  Credit will not be issued for interruptions not reported to the company, interruptions due to failure of power, equipment or systems not provided by Ametex.


 

Directory Assistance


Directory Assistance is a service that allows callers to obtain telephone numbers for locations in the United States as well as in Canada, and certain Caribbean locations.

For domestic locations and for those in Canada and certain Caribbean locations having NPAs that are part of the North American Numbering Plan, dial the appropriate access code to reach the Ametex System provided by Americatel, plus the NPA (area code) for the telephone numbered desired, plus 555-1212.

A Directory Assistance Charge of $1.00 per call applied to all calls made from points within the United States to: Directory Assistance in certain International Caribbean locations (Anguilla, Antigua/Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Jamaica, Montserrat, St. Kitts/Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent/Grenadines, Trinidad/Tobago, and Turks/Caicos Islands).

The charge ($1.00 per call) applied whether or not the Director Assistance bureau furnishes the requested telephone number (e.g., where the requested telephone number is unlisted, non-published, or no record can be found).
