Americatel Prepagado
Prepaid state-to-state and international communications service accessed by dialing a local access or 800 number. Calls to the local access number from outside the calling area of that number may generate long distance charges.
There are no refunds for unused Service. Accounts expire six (6) months from the date of the first charge or last recharge, whichever charge/recharge occurs latest ("Account Expiration"). An Administrative Account Fee shall be assessed upon the Account Expiration (See Surcharges below).
Subscriptions can be purchased with a valid debit or credit card in initial increments and recharges of $10, $15, $20, $25, $30, $35, $40, $45 and $50. Subscribers can activate the Automatic Recharge Option in increments of $20, $25, $30, $35, $40, $45 and $50.
One-time purchases can be purchased with cash at Americatel authorized dealers in the amounts of $2, $5, $10, $15, $20, $25, $30, $35, $40, $45, and $50.
Per-Minute Charges
The per-minute charges described below will be assessed to calls placed to the corresponding destination listed. Per-minute rates to calls to cellular destinations, if available, are listed under "Cellular" below.
Base rates apply to international destinations other than the ones listed below.
A per-minute rate of $0.05 applies to state-to-state calls.
Definitions relating to the Mexico I, II and III code regions are outlined in you Customer Service Agreement.
You are also responsible for Government Mandated Charges, which include taxes and fees that Americatel is required to assess on its customers by law and which vary depending on the your location.
Surcharges
During the third quarter of 2010, customers will be assessed a Universal Service Fund Fee of 13.6% applied to the Americatel charges. This Fund is collected from telecommunications carriers and is administered by the federal government to help provide affordable telecommunications services for low-income customers and customers in rural areas and Internet access for eligible schools, libraries and rural health care providers.
On the date of the Account Expiration, an Administrative Account Fee shall be assessed in an amount equal to the unused balance. Upon such Account Expiration, the Account status shall remain in good standing.
